Accumulating snow ends between midnight and 2-3am as the Snow Storm Winds Down

Some additional bursts of moderate snowfall are likely through midnight with additional snow accumulations of 1"-3" through 2am.  Snowfall rates will rapidly diminish through early Thursday morning as the snowfall becomes light and intermittent with only a bit of patchy light snow or snow grains persisting beyond daybreak on Thanksgiving.

Officials: Explosion at suburban NYC college


NYACK -- An explosion in a college campus building north of New York City blew out windows. There are reports of injuries, but the college says everyone was doing OK.
 
The explosion at Nyack College happened just before noon. A spokesman for the Rockland County executive's office says county fire departments are responding.
 
Witnesses tell The Journal-News that the explosion blew out windows and a door.
 
There was no word on the extent and severity of injuries, but the college sent out a tweet saying that "Everyone is doing ok."
 
Nyack College is a Christian college about 25 miles north of New York City. The explosion happened at a building on South Highland Avenue, a main campus road.
