Accumulating snow ends between midnight and 2-3am as the Snow Storm Winds Down

Some additional bursts of moderate snowfall are likely through midnight with additional snow accumulations of 1"-3" through 2am.  Snowfall rates will rapidly diminish through early Thursday morning as the snowfall becomes light and intermittent with only a bit of patchy light snow or snow grains persisting beyond daybreak on Thanksgiving.

Charlton: tractor trailer and car collide

CHARLTON - A car is struck by a tractor trailer on Thursday.

Police say a 83-year-old Eva Runkowski of 6142 Stanton Road in Middle Grove was driving on Jockey Street when she did not stop for a stop sign and was struck on Route 67 by an oncoming tractor trailer at around noon on Thursday.

Runkowski was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver of the tractor trailer was taken to Ellis Hospital after his truck overturned as a result of the accident.

Route 67 was closed for about 6 hours to clear the accident.

Police have not released the name of the tractor trailer driver.
