OTIS, Mass. -- Bad weather forced Berkshire County rescue crews to cut their search for a missing swimmer short on Monday night.
Divers were back in the water at the Otis Reservoir early Tuesday to continue to look for the man, but as of 1 p.m. the body has not been located. The man is presumed dead, according to officials.
The man was swimming with his father around 2 p.m. on Sunday when he went under. The father was able to swim back to the boat that was located less than a mile from the old J & D Marina.
The search was called off late Sunday because of visibility issues and was cut short on Monday because of bad weather, according to the fire chief.
