Accumulating snow ends between midnight and 2-3am as the Snow Storm Winds Down

Some additional bursts of moderate snowfall are likely through midnight with additional snow accumulations of 1"-3" through 2am.  Snowfall rates will rapidly diminish through early Thursday morning as the snowfall becomes light and intermittent with only a bit of patchy light snow or snow grains persisting beyond daybreak on Thanksgiving.

Police: Gunman killed 6 in Santa Monica shootings

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities say a gunman carrying an assault-style rifle killed at least six people in Santa Monica before police killed him during a gunfight in the Santa Monica College library.
 
Santa Monica Police Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks told reporters Friday that the rampage began at a house in the coastal city.
 
She says it continued as the man, dressed all in black, made his way to Santa Monica College.
 
Seabrooks says he killed two people in the house, two more people as he moved several blocks toward the campus and then two more on campus.
 
She says he was then shot to death by police in the campus library.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) -- A fire official in Santa Monica, Calif., says two men have been found dead in a burned home near a shooting scene outside a college.
 
Jeff Furrows of the Santa Monica Fire Department says there was extensive fire damage inside the home, which isn't far from a chaotic scene at Santa Monica College.
 
Furrows says a woman also was found with a gunshot wound in a car outside the burned home.
 
Witnesses at the college describe hearing numerous gunshots, students scrambling to safety and a man dressed in black being taken into custody.  
 
An area hospital reports receiving three victims, two in critical condition and one in serious condition.


SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) -- A Southern California hospital says it has received three Santa Monica shooting victims, including two in critical condition. 
 
Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center spokesman Mark Wheeler says the third patient is in serious condition.
 
The shooting was reported shortly before noon Friday near Santa Monica College.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) -- A shooting has been reported near the campus of Southern California's Santa Monica College.
 
Santa Monica police Sgt. Rudy Flores says several victims are down and the shooter is also believed to be down.
 
Flores says numerous witnesses called to report a man on a street corner shooting at vehicles including a bus.
 
The location is about three miles from where President Barack Obama is appearing at a fundraiser.
 
Santa Monica College is a two-year college with about 34,000 students. The campus in the coastal Los Angeles suburb spreads out over 38 acres.
