Accumulating snow ends between midnight and 2-3am as the Snow Storm Winds Down

Some additional bursts of moderate snowfall are likely through midnight with additional snow accumulations of 1"-3" through 2am.  Snowfall rates will rapidly diminish through early Thursday morning as the snowfall becomes light and intermittent with only a bit of patchy light snow or snow grains persisting beyond daybreak on Thanksgiving.

Local schools awarded federal aid

ALBANY-- 7 school districts in New York are getting a share of more than $126 million as part of the federal school improvement program.
3 are here in the Capital Region.
The Albany City School District is getting $4.3 million.
The Schenectady City School District will get $4.5 Million and The Amsterdam City School District was awarded $3.9 Million.
Grants are awarded to under-performing schools based on their plans to transform and boost student grades.
