Flight makes emergency landing at Albany Int'l

COLONIE -- A flight originating at LaGuardia Airport and bound for Montreal made an emergency landing at Albany International Airport on Tuesday evening.
Shortly after 5:00PM, the crew reported an odor and visible smoke in the cabin, and notified the tower at Albany that they would be making an emergency landing.  At that time, they were about 20 miles north of Albany.
The American Eagle flight landed without incident and all 39 passengers and crew members were safely evacuated from the plane.  No injuries were reported.
The cause of the smoke, and determining what exactly happened, is still under investigation.
