Significant Winter Storm Possible From Monday Night Through Tuesday

An area of low pressure will track to our south through Monday.  Some light snow should develop through Monday afternoon and evening as a result.  The low pressure will then rapidly intensify off of the Northeast coast Monday night and Tuesday.  Uncertainty remains as to the exact track of this low pressure, but if it tracks close enough to the coast, portions of the area could see a significant snowfall.

Glens Falls woman gets jail time for lying about son's death

QUEENSBURY -- Her boyfriend was handed down a 25 years to life sentence after being convicted of killing her five-year-old son in 2012.
On Tuesday, 24-year-old Jennie Mattison of Glens Falls was sentenced in Warren County Court to one to three years in jail in connection with the beating death of her son, Gary Carpenter III.
Mattison testified against her boyfriend, 24-year-old Brandon Warrington, and pleaded guilty to felony hindering prosecution for initially lying about how her child was hurt.
Prosecutors said Carpenter was abused by Warrington for weeks as punishment and died of a massive head injury. Warrington's lawyer said the child died because of neglect by his mother.
Warrington, from Glens Falls, was convicted of second-degree murder, second-degree manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child.
Warrington and Mattison had their own child together which is in protective custody.
