Waterford Police make 3 DWI arrests over weekend

WATERFORD - Police have made three separate drinking and driving arrests over the weekend.

A Cohoes man was arrested after Waterford police say 51-year-old Tad Palka refused a breath test when pulled over.  He was arrested for DWI, consumption of alcohol while operating a motor vehicle and other charges.

39-year-old James Denue, Jr. of third street in Waterford was arrested Sunday after police say his blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit.  Denue is also facing other charges.

A Rensselaer man, 50-year-old Robert Knapp, was arrested Saturday after, according to police, had a blood alcohol content that was twice the legal limit.  He was initially pulled over after failing to use a turn signal.
