Montgomery Co. teens sentenced for gunning down classmates

FONDA -- Two teenage boys who admitted killing two other teens in upstate New York have been sentenced to prison.
Local media outlets report that 17-year-old Anthony Brasmeister of Amsterdam was sentenced to 25 years to life and 16-year-old Matt Phelps of the town of Florida was sentenced to 15 years to life.

Both had pleaded guilty in April to second-degree murder for the shootings of 13-year-old Johnathan DeJesus and 16-year-old Paul Damphier, both of Amsterdam.
But Phelps had agreed to testify against Brasmeister as part of a plea bargain in Montgomery County Court.
The victims' bodies were found in a soybean field outside Amsterdam on July 19, nine days after they were reported missing. They'd each been shot in the chest.
