3 charged in drugs, weapons & forgery bust

ALBANY COUNTY-- Drugs, weapons and forgery turn up in a joint investigation between the Albany County Sheriff's Office and the Department of Motor Vehicles.
48-year-old Spero Damopoulos of Glenmont, 47-year-old Nicholas Damopoulos of Schenectady and Mary Labatte of Loudonville are all charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
DMV and Albany County Investigators say the three were involved in an illegal state inspection ring being run out of Spike's Auto Sales on River Road.
During a search of the property, investigators seized illegal weapons and hydrocodone tablets.
Spero and Nicholas Damopoulos were sent to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.
Labatte was released on an appearance ticket.
