Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Monday Night into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England Monday night, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty wind at times causing blowing and drifting snow, potential whiteout conditions at times leading to dangerous travel late Monday night through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Mold: The Next Problem

FORT PLAIN -- As residents of Fort Plain continue flood recovery efforts, a new problem is creeping up on them.

Residences that were flooded a few weeks ago are still damp and mold is growing, and some people are still living in their homes.

Many homeowners have tried saturating the walls with bleach, only to see the mold return.  Volunteers from downstate say it should come as no surprise.  One of those volunteers from Respond and Rebuild out of Queens says the most important thing in mold remediation is to dry everything out.  They brought up their industrial heaters and dehumidifiers and are helping residents any way they can.  If you'd like to contact them, you can call 718-714-8173 or email at info@respondandrebuild.org.
