Significant Winter Storm Possible From Monday Night Through Tuesday

An area of low pressure will track to our south through Monday.  Some light snow should develop through Monday afternoon and evening as a result.  The low pressure will then rapidly intensify off of the Northeast coast Monday night and Tuesday.  Uncertainty remains as to the exact track of this low pressure, but if it tracks close enough to the coast, portions of the area could see a significant snowfall.

Schenectady road closure begins today

SCHENECTADY -- Motorists are advised that the ramp from the eastbound Crosstown Connection (Route 7) to State Street (Route 5) in Schenectady will be closed Saturday as part of the ongoing project at that location.

The closure is expected to last until October. Motorists should follow the posted detour- eastbound Crosstown Connection motorists should turn left at Consaul Road to get to State Street.

The on-ramp from westbound State Street to the eastbound Crosstown Connection, which has been closed since April, will be reopened.
