TRAFFIC ALERT: Presidential visit means delays on Thruway

ALBANY -- Drivers are being warned ahead of time that President Obama's visit to upstate New York could mean some delays and temporary road closures along the Thruway.
President Obama's motorcade will be traveling via I-90 on Thursday, August 22 and Friday, August 23.
He will be visiting parts of Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and other upstate areas.
Motorists may encounter temporary road closures and slow or stopped traffic on the Thruway. At certain times, motorists may be temporarily unable to enter the roadway at some interchanges, or unable to re-enter the roadway from Thruway service plazas and rest areas. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution at all times.
