It happened on Thursday evening around 5:30 p.m. at the East Side Auto Sales on Ferry Street and Fifth Avenue.
According to Troy Police, three suspects walked into the office armed with at least one handgun and attacked a clerk.
During the struggle, the clerk sustained a serious head injury. Investigators recovered a crowbar at the scene they believe was used in the attack.
All three suspects fled on foot but only one was caught by Troy Police.
27-year-old Raymond Dawson of Albany was charged with felony robbery and assault.
The two other suspects remain at large. It is unknown what was taken from the auto shop.
