Chase ends with SUV into bank

ROTTERDAM -- A chase through parts of Schenectady County on Thursday night ended when an SUV crashed into a bank.
New York State Police, along with the Schenectady Police Department and Rotterdam Police Department, were in pursuit of the vehicle around 6:30PM Thursday evening.  The SUV crashed through the wall of the Trustco Bank on Altamont Avenue.
A spokesman for Schenectady Police told CBS6's Craig Smith that the chase stemmed from what appeared to be a series of BB gun assaults.
Rotterdam Police said that the driver, 25-year-old Natasha Popolizio, was arrested along with a female adult passenger and a 15-year-old boy.  Charges are pending against Popolizio.
Rotterdam Police said that Popolizio was arrested in February 2008 for attempting to run over a police officer in Johnstown.  She later pled guilty to 1st Degree Reckless Endangerment, a Class D Felony.  Rotterdam Police said that she was released on June 21.
