Police say Blood gang members among 7 arrested in drug raid

GLOVERSVILLE / JOHNSTOWN -- Crack cocaine, cocaine, prescription narcotics, marijuana and almost $7,000 were seized by police during a drug raid at four different homes in Johnstown and Gloversville on Thursday.
According to the Gloversville Police Department, two women and five men were arrested on drug charges.

On Thursday, August 22nd, members of the Gloversville Police Department, Johnstown Police Department and New York State Police, including the community narcotics enforcement unit and special operations, executed six search warrants and five arrest warrants at various locations in the City of Gloversville and Town of Johnstown. 
Four warrants were executed simultaneously at 3 and 5 East Eighth Ave and 88 Fremont Street, upstairs and downstairs.

During the search of apartment 5 East Eighth Ave, Maurice Mo / Big Homie Wallace (31), a member of the Bloods street gang, was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and approximately $5000 in cash.  He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (B-Felony).  Wallace was arraigned before Fulton County Judge Richard Giardino and remanded to the Fulton county Correctional Facility without bail. 

Wallaces girlfriend, Shamekia Worley was temporarily detained as members searched the apartment.  She was later released without charges. 

Debra Hayes (53), of 3 E Eighth Avenue, was arrested and charged with Criminal Nuisance in the First Degree (E-Felony) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (A-Misdemeanor).  Hayes was processed and released on an Appearance Ticket. No charges have resulted yet from the warrant execution at 88 Fremont Street. 

The next search warrant was conducted at 57 Steele Ave.  During that search, a tenant, Darnell D Alston (41) was found to be in possession of a large amount of cocaine and approximately $200 in cash.  Upon completion of the search, Alston was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (B-Felony).  He was arraigned by Fulton County Judge Richard Giardino and remanded to the Fulton County Correctional Facility without bail. 

Next, an arrest warrant for Clyde Jones (47), based on a Fulton County Court Indictment, was executed at 14 Curtis Street.  Jones was taken into custody for 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (B-Felony) and 2 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (B-Felony).  Jones was arraigned before Fulton County Judge Richard Giardino and remanded to the Fulton county Correctional Facility without bail.

An arrest warrant for Marvin Loco McLaurin (25), based on a Fulton County Court Indictment, was executed at 2552 State Highway 29 in the Town of Johnstown. The indictment charged McLaurin, an alledged member of the Bloods street gang, was charged with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (B-Felony) and 2 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (B-Felony).  McLaurin was arraigned before Fulton County Judge Richard Giardino and remanded to the Fulton county Correctional Facility without bail.  During a subsequent search warrant execution on McLaurins residence, search teams located crack cocaine, prescription narcotics, marihuana and approximately $1600 in cash.    
  
Arrest teams then went to 28 Chestnut Street to arrest Toni Borromeo (37) on a Fulton County Court Indictment.  Borromeo was taken into custody on 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (B-Felony) and 2 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (B-Felony).  Borromeo was arraigned before Fulton County Judge Richard Giardino and remanded to the Fulton county Correctional Facility without bail.

Arrest teams then went to 69 Hill Street and arrested Mark Atty (24) on a Fulton County Court Indictment charging him with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (B-Felony) and 2 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (B-Felony).  Atty was arraigned before Fulton County Judge Richard Giardino and remanded to the Fulton county Correctional Facility without bail.
