Saturday Albany Road Closures

ALBANY -- The City of Albany will continue the reconstruction of the intersection of State Street and Eagle Street on Saturday. 

The contractor will be installing the top course of asphalt.  The following are the closures and detours for this roadwork:
 
Road Closures:
 
  September 14, 2013 , from 6:00 AM until 6:00 PM, Eagle Street from Pine Street to Lancaster Street will be CLOSED to ALL TRAFFIC.  In addition, the following streets will be closed:
 
1. State Street westbound from Lodge Street to Eagle Street will be closed to all but emergency traffic and individuals attending church services at St. Peters Church.
 
2.State Street eastbound from S. Swan Street to Park Street will be closed and restricted to local and emergency traffic only and will be diverted onto Park Street which will be changed to a one way southbound (toward Lancaster Street) during the closures.
 
3.Park Street from State Street to Lancaster Street will be converted from a ONE WAY northbound to a ONE WAY southbound for the duration of the weekend.
 
Detour:
 
A signed detour will be in effect during the closure:
 
Eastbound Washington Avenue traffic will be detoured to eastbound Pine Street then southbound onto Lodge Street back to State Street.
 
Westbound State Street traffic will be detoured onto Lodge Street to Pine Street then westbound on Pine Street to Washington Avenue.
 
Westbound State Street traffic wanting to go south on Eagle Street will have to turn south on Lodge Street to Howard Street, then west on Howard St to Eagle Street.
 
 
 
Northbound Eagle Street will be detoured east on Howard Street to Lodge Street to Pine Street, then west on Pine Street to Washington Avenue.
 
 
State Street eastbound from S. Swan Street will be detoured north on S. Swan Street to Washington Avenue, then east onto Washington Avenue to Pine Street to follow the eastbound Washington Ave detour.
