ALBANY - The annual LarkFest will be taking place Saturday September 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. between Washington and Madison Avenue.  Albany Police are informing LarkFest patrons of changes to the event.

Officers will be posted on all entrances to the event.  They will be alerting festival attendees of the rules of the event as they enter.

No outside alcoholic beverages will be allowed inside.

The open container permit will be the footprint of the event.  It is only good for beer that is to be served in the event cup (plastic pilsner cup w/Heineken label).

The two convenient stores that have received enhanced one day liquor licenses from the SLA and will be allowed to pour beer from cans into the sponsored cups as patrons leave the store.(this is new and solves a problem we had last year)

There will be bicycle officers assigned to all surrounding areas (Center Square, Hudson Park, Park South, Washington Park, Pine Hills) for the duration of the event.  They will be responsible for quality of life enforcement outside of the event.
