More to Applaud at 'Ghost'

It's a very special opening night at Proctor's this weekend.

For the first time, a Broadway tour has been built, from the ground up, at the historic theater in Schenectady.

The Broadway musical adaptation of the movie 'Ghost' is set to begin it's national tour and Proctor's is the first stop.

That's because for the past 3 weeks, more than a hundred cast and crew members have been in town, building the show, including everything from massive set pieces and LED screens to intricate lighting and special effects.

It's been a boost for the local economy and reps from both Proctors and the production company hope this will be the first of many national tours built in Schenectady.

Among those on the production team is master illusionist Paul Kieve, who designed the illusions for the Harry Potter films.

Remember how Patrick Swayze walked right through a door in the film?

They do that on stage too.

The show opens Saturday at Proctors, with performances at 2 and 8.
