Hacker Boat construction facility coming to area

GLENS FALLS - The 56 acre Queensbury business park is the new home for boat construction and restoration.

The Hacker Boat Company, largest American manufacturer of classic mahogany motorboats, and the Economic Development Corporation of Warren County have finalized an agreement for an office and manufacturing facility for the construction of luxury hand crafted mahogany boats and restoration.

"This new project will bring not only new jobs to the area over a period of several years, but also gives an immediate boost to our local economy through construction of the facility," stated Queensbury Town Supervisor Ron Montesi.

The company projects 80 new jobs for the 90,000 square foot facility that is slated to cost $3 million to build.
