Homicide investigators gather in Albany

ALBANY (AP) -- An international group of homicide investigators is meeting in Albany this week to share information on forensics, domestic violence, missing persons and some famous cases including that of former Canadian Forces Col. Russell Williams.

The annual seminar runs through Thursday at the New York State Police Academy.

Williams, a decorated aviator and base commander from Ontario, was convicted in 2010 of two rapes and two murders and confessed to dozens of break-ins

After a 23-year military career, he's now in a Canadian prison. He's been stripped of his commission, ranks and awards.
