Albany man gets 5 years in prison for drugs
ALBANY-- An Albany man will spend 5 years in state prison for possessing cocaine.
39-year-old Omar Johnson was sentenced in Albany County Court Tuesday morning.
He pleaded guilty to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance back in August.
Back in May, Police executed a search warrant at his Second Avenue home and found 9 ounces of cocaine, digital scales, plastic bags and more than $10,000 in cash.
Johnson was also sentenced to 2 years post release supervision.
