Man steals hiking boots from Target

GLENVILLE -- A man was arrested after assaulting a Target employees who tried to stop him as he was stealing.

Jeremy Bacon, 34, of Delanson was at the Target on Saratoga Rd. Bacon is accused stealing items from the Target including a pair of hiking boots.He was leaving the store, wearing the boots when he was stopped by Target employees. Bacon struck the employee with a shopping bag and also attempted punch the same employee. A struggle ensued and he was able to break free and flee the store. The suspect got into a vehicle and headed south on rt 50. He was subsequently stopped in the Village of Scotia.

Bacon was charged with one count of Robbery, one count of Petit Larceny and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was processed and arraigned in Glenville Town court. He was remanded to the Schenectady County Jail in lieu of ten thousand cash bail or bond. He is scheduled to appear at a later date in Town Court.
