Trio of teens charged for bullying incident

COEYMANS -- In what investigators say was a case of bullying gone too far, three juveniles in the Ravena-Ceoymans-Selkirk School District have been charged with robbery and gang assault.

Authorities say two 13-year-old boys and a 12-year-old tried to steal money from a fourth grade student at the RCS middle school. They say the boys held the victim against his will and assaulted him during the attempted robbery. School officials say they were alerted to the incident by other concerned students who tried to intervene when they saw what was happening.

One of the attackers was due in court on Wednesday. The other two were issued appearance tickets for Albany County probation.
