Crews battle Schenectady fire

SCHENECTADY -- Crews were on the scene of a structure fire in Schenectady on Monday morning.

The call came in around 10 a.m. that a 2-story home at 1235 Albany Street was on fire. The home was vacant, and the fire has caused visible damage to the second floor. According to the Fire Chief, squatters have been known to be in the home in the past, and they believe the fire may have been caused by human activity.

Albany Street in the area around the fire has been closed to traffic.
