Accused killer moved to psychiatric center

RENSSELAER COUNTY -- Officials say a man accused of killing his mother and step-father has been transferred to the Central New York Psychiatric Center.

Anthony Repp was transferred from the Rensselaer County Jail after authorities say he experienced delusions, hallucinations and was hearing voices. A judge issued a request for Repp to undergo evaluation to see if he is competent for further court proceedings.

Repp will faces second-degree murder charges for allegedly beating his parents to death during an argument. State Police say autopsies determined Repp's 58-year-old mother, Cynthia Matala, and stepfather, 62-year-old Michael Matala, died from skull fractures and brain injuries.
