Low pressure developing off the Southeast coast will quickly move northeast tracking south of New England today into tonight as colder air arrives to produce a moderate to heavy snow storm for much of the region.  Rain & Snow will develop quickly this morning, change to snow, and fall heavily at times through the afternoon and evening before tapering overnight.  Expect difficult travel conditions with snow packed roads and low visibility today/tonight  Click Here for the CBS6 Weather Forecast Page

Western Gateway Bridge limited to one lane

SCHENECTADY COUNTY -- The state Department of Transportation announced that the Western Gate Bridge on Route 5 over the Mohawk River between Schenectady and Scotia will be limited to one lane of traffic.

The closure takes effect beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, and will last until 6 a.m. on Saturday. The department says crews will be pouring concrete for the new bridge deck.

Drivers are encouraged to find an alternate route.
