Woman sentenced in knifepoint robbery

SOUTH GLENS FALLS - A Glens Falls woman has been sentenced for her participation in a knifepoint robbery and beating of a South Glens Falls man.

22-year-old Erica Bannin, of 210 Main Street was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and two and a half years probation.

Police say Bannin, assisted by 22-year-old Liana Flack, held a knife to the throat of a man and demanded his wallet back on July 30. The man was then beaten by 28-year-old Thomas Ford and and a 17-year-old, then warned to not contact police.

The man was assisted by a good samaritan, and the four involved were quickly apprehended by police.
