Volunteers begin Thanksgiving preparations
ALBANY -- Volunteers from across the region began preparations to give more than a thousand capital area residents a warm Thanksgiving meal.
The Capital City Rescue Mission expects to serve over 1,800 meals this holiday. They offer both take-home meals and on-site dinners.
Volunteers cooked up more than 700 pounds of turkey on Monday and chopped 400 pounds of onions and 250 pounds of celery.
