Significant Winter Storm Possible From Monday Night Through Tuesday

An area of low pressure will track to our south through Monday.  Some light snow should develop through Monday afternoon and evening as a result.  The low pressure will then rapidly intensify off of the Northeast coast Monday night and Tuesday.  Uncertainty remains as to the exact track of this low pressure, but if it tracks close enough to the coast, portions of the area could see a significant snowfall.

Tax relief report released

ALBANY -- Governor Cuomo held a press conference on Tuesday where he and his tax relief commission outlined several ideas for property tax relief in the state.

The recommendations are meant to ease the burden of property taxes on homeowners and businesses.

The Tax Commission was spearheaded by Cuomo appointees including former Governor George Pataki, and former Controller Carl McCall.

Pat Bailey reports tonight, in his  Eye on the Capitol Blog, one recommendation that would freeze property taxes for homeowners comes with a stipulation attached to it.
