Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Tonight into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England tonight, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty winds at times, causing blowing and drifting snow. There's the potential for whiteout conditions at times, leading to dangerous travel late tonight through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

New signage around NY Capitol

ALBANY - Signs around the state capitol are creating controversy.  The new signs inform those that the Capitol is a historic landmark, and lists Andrew Cuomo as governor.

An OGS spokesperson tells CBS6 that the signage is part of a larger project, and that updates around the Capitol were needed as some were simply outdated.

The Governor's name is state protocol, however they were designed to replace the name of the governor when needed.
