Accumulating snow ends between midnight and 2-3am as the Snow Storm Winds Down

Some additional bursts of moderate snowfall are likely through midnight with additional snow accumulations of 1"-3" through 2am.  Snowfall rates will rapidly diminish through early Thursday morning as the snowfall becomes light and intermittent with only a bit of patchy light snow or snow grains persisting beyond daybreak on Thanksgiving.

Albany Fire Chief retires

ALBANY -- After four decades of service, Albany Fire Chief Robert Forezzi is retiring this week.

Today, friends and colleagues came together for a special walking-out ceremony. The event was held at the South End firehouse along South Pearl Street.

Forezzi, who spent the last several weeks as Chief, is officially retiring at the end of the year. There is no word yet on who will replace him.
