Troy man accused of returning stolen goods

BRUNSWICK -- A Troy man is in trouble after investigators say he got refunds for stuff he didn't buy.

Jefferson Dawes, 54, faces two counts of petit larceny. State Police say Dawes went into the Price Chopper on Hoosick Road in Brunswick twice this month. He allegedly grabbed a few things from the shelves and then tried to 'return' them to the store.

Dawes next court date is set for January 8.
