Man faces charges for pruning
SAN DIEGO (AP) -- A man's brush with the law over bushes could be ending.
San Diego County prosecutors want to drop a felony charge for trimming overgrown shrubs on public property. Juvencio Adame faced a count of felony vandalism. But prosecutors say a city arborist determined the foliage would grow back.
Police believe Adame cut back the bushes because they were blocking his view. U-T San Diego reports Adame was worried homeless people were sleeping in the shrubs.
