Incandescent bulbs disappearing from shelves

WASHINGTON -- America's most popular light bulbs are about to become much harder to find.

Incandescent bulbs will be phased out in the new year. American companies will no longer be able to manufacture or import them. The move is part of an energy efficiency law signed in 2007.

Customers can still buy the bulbs currently on the shelves, but once those are gone, they will have to go with LED, halogen or fluorescent bulbs.
