Saratoga Springs looking for shelter solutions

SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Mayor-elect Joanne Yepsen wants to do something to prevent people from suffering out in the cold.

The push comes after a woman was found dead in the city last week. Officials say it looks like she may have frozen to death.

Yepsen now wants to set up a Code Blue-type shelter in Saratoga Springs. That means, if temperatures fall to a certain level, a plan would be in place so people would have somewhere to go and get warm.

Yepsen plans to hold an emergency public forum on a shelter plan on Friday.
