Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Tonight into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England tonight, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty winds at times, causing blowing and drifting snow. There's the potential for whiteout conditions at times, leading to dangerous travel late tonight through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

'Teddy Bear Clinic' helps ease kids' fears

HUDSON -- More than 120 Columbia County kindergarteners spent time in the hospital on Tuesday - but not as patients.

The students took part in Columbia Memorial's first ever 'Teddy Bear Clinic,' an event designed to help kids overcome the fear that often comes with being in a hospital. Each student was given a teddy bear with a hospital bracelet, just like all the other patients at Columbia Memorial. From there, they spent time with doctors and nurses 'treating' the bears for a range of ailments.

The even took place in a brand new unit of Columbia Memorial's emergency department.
