POTENTIAL WINTER STORM WEDNESDAY INTO THANKGIVING

There remains considerable uncertainty in the track and intensity of an anticipated coastal storm from Wednesday afternoon through early Thanksgiving morning, but confidence is increasing for a storm to bring accumulating snow to much of the region which would cause travel difficulty.  Details on amounts and timing will become more clear over the next twelve to twenty four hours.  Keep up to date on the forecast.

Warming station opens after transformer fire in Claverack

CLAVERACK - A transformer fire left many without power in Claverack as temperatures dive into single digits.

Claverack Town Supervisor Kippy Weigelt responded by opened a warming station at the AB Shaw Firehouse Friday night after a transformer fire knocked out power to close to 500 homes.

Officials at the firehouse say power was restored around 10:00 p.m.
