ALBANY - An Albany man has pleaded guilty to felony weapons possession.

Albany Police say 26-year-old Nasif Jackson allegedly displayed what appeared to be an assault rifle outside of a vehicle in the area of Catherine and South Hawk Street.

Police then located the reported vehicle and witnessed Jackson leaving a Livingston Avenue residence.  Police stopped the vehicle and detained those inside.

After a search warrant was issued, police recovered a loaded Ruger .22 caliber rifle, which had been altered to resemble a AK-47 assault rifle.

Jackson faces 5 years in prison when sentenced.
