Traffic stop leads to heroin bust

QUEENSBURY -- A Pennsylvania man and a Vermont woman were arrested on Thursday after State Police discovered 25 bundles of heroin.

Authorities say Julius Hester, 20, and Veronica Batease, 21, were pulled over on State Route 149 for vehicle and traffic infractions. They say Hester had about 25 bundles of heroin, and lied to the Troopers about his identity.

Batease was driving the car when it was pulled over. She was charged with traffic and vehicle violations as well as drug charges.
