Canadian lottery winner headed for warmer temps

WINNIPEG, Canada (AP) -- If you lived in a cold-weather area and won the lottery, what would be one of the first things you'd do. If your answer is to head somewhere where it's a lot warmer, you'll understand the thinking of Dennis Nash. He won a Lotto drawing last week, picking up $8 million in Canadian dollars in the process. He says he hasn't made any serious plans yet -- but one is to head for somewhere warm. Nash lives in the aptly named town of Winterpeg, where wind-chills can dip into the minus-30s.
