Residents urged to clear hydrants

ALBANY -- Just ahead of another round of cold weather, the Albany County Sheriff's Office is asking residents to take some time to dig out fire hydrants.

According to Sheriff Craig Apple, many of the hydrants are still buried beneath snow. The Sheriff's inmate work force will also be out clearing hydrants.

Anyone who is unable to dig one out or notices one that needs to be, is asked to email contactsheriff@albanycounty.com.
