Schenectady fire sends formerly homeless back onto the street

SCHENECTADY -- A fire on Lower Broadway tore through a building serving as a temporary home for the homeless.

Authorities say luckily, no one was hurt in the fire, but now the people living there are once again without a place to live. A CDTA bus was on the scene to provide the residents with a place to keep warm while fire crews battled the blaze.

Officials say about 25 people lived in the building. Investigators are still working to determine the cause.
