Snow Storm Winds Down Overnight - Areas of Heavier Snow Persist Through 12am

Areas of moderate to locally heavy snow will continue across the region through midnight with a trend towards lighter and more intermittent snowfall developing.  Snowfall will become much lighter and scattered in nature after midnight tapering to scattered snow showers towards daybreak.  Additional accumulations of 1"-4" likely in many areas through 3am.  Slow and slick travel conditions with reduced visibility at times persisting through the night.  Click Here for the CBS6 Weather Forecast Page

Snowboarder dies on Vermont trail

RUTLAND - Vermont State Police say a Canandaigua man died while snowboarding at Killington Ski Resort.

Police say,  23 year-old Skylar Ormond was snowboarding with two friends at around 9:30 a.m..  

While in the area of Mouse Trap Trail, one of Ormonds friends fell in front of him.  Police say he swerved to miss his friend and swerved into a tree.

He was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center where he died from internal injuries.
