Albany Co. recovers fraudulent food stamp funds

ALBANY -- Authorities announced on Tuesday that Albany County has recovered almost all of the money owed from a store owner convicted of food stamp fraud in 2012.

Ricardo Fabian, the former owner of New City Market on Clinton Avenue, was ordered to pay back $30,000 after pleading guilty. Investigators say they have now gotten more than $29,000.

Fabian will spend up to 3 years behind bars for the crime.
