Authorities continue to search for missing man

GRANVILLE -- Vermont State Police and Granville authorities continue to search for a man last seen almost a week ago.

Authorities say Jonathan Schaff was involved in an altercation at the Riverside Pub in Granville in the early morning hours last Saturday. They say he reportedly received a head laceration and his glasses were broken before leaving the pub on foot and walking east on Main Street.

Since that time, members of the Upper Valley Search and Rescue, New England Canine Search and Rescue, Vermont Fish and Wildlife, Wells Fire Department, and the Granville Fire Department have joined in the search to find Schaff.

Officials say he was possibly wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a dark brown Carhart jacket with dark pants and brown work boots. Cell phone data released by the police indicates Schaff may possibly be in the area of Sheldons Concrete or Newmont Slate Compnay on State Route 149 in Pawlet, Vermont. Schaff is described as 6 feet tall, approximately 170 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.

Police and K9 unites have an ongoing search effort in the area and ask anyone with information to contact them at (518) 642-1414 or (802) 773-9101.
