Snow and Gusty Wind on Tuesday - Poor Travel Conditions Expected

A Nor'easter  is expected to impact the region today, but the impact around the Capital Region looks to be on the lighter side, as the storm takes a more Easterly track. Snow will become steadier from SE to NW this morning, with snowfall of varying intensity through this afternoon and evening.  A gusty NNW wind from 15-20 mph at times will cause blowing and drifting of the very dry snow creating poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions at times through late tonight. General Storm accumulations in the Capital Region of 2-6" are expected, with higher amounts across western New England.

Heat Issue at Corinth Elementary

CORINTH - A heated issue at the Corinth elementary school that the Superintendent says never put any students in danger.

A bad switch left some classrooms without working heat earlier in the week.

Parents say that this is not the first time there has been an issue at the school with the heating system, and they had not been notified.

The Superintendent says he felt the issue was not severe enough to notify parents.

Maintenance staff spent Wednesday checking all the switches and heaters in all the classrooms.

Teachers without working heaters were given the option to change rooms.
