Arrests made in graffiti case in Voorheesville

VOORHEESVILLE  - The Albany Sheriff's Office have arrested two teens in connection to three cases of vandalism.

Police say they arrested 19 year-old Matthew Carey-Moorly and 18 year-old Manny Wiest both from the Town of Guilderland on Tuesday.

On Monday morning vandalism was reported at the Voorheesville High School, the home of an employee of the high school, and a third report of vandalism at the Voorheesville Public Library.  All incidents included words, cat images and graphic drawings.

Officials say they made the arrests after an investigation allegedly linked the two teens with images and wording posted on social media.

Both were charged with felony criminal mischief, harassment, and making graffiti.  Carey-Moorly was also charged with possession of a forged instrument for having a forged Colorado driver's license.

They were arraigned in Town of New Scotland Court.
