ALBANY -- The City of Albany has declared a Snow Emergency beginning on Thursday at 8 p.m. At that time, cars must be parked on the even side of the streets for the following 24 hours. At 8 p.m. on Friday, cars must move to the odd side of the streets for the following 24 hours.
AMSTERDAM -- UPDATE: Effective at noon on Thursday, the Snow Emergency will be lifted. The City of Amsterdam will declare a Snow Emergency starting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. All vehicles must be removed from city streets by that time and remain off the streets until the Snow Emergency is lifted. Drivers needing parking accommodations can visit the Amsterdam Police Department Facebook page for a list of city-owned parking lots.
ATHENS -- The Village of Athens declared a Snow Emergency. Starting at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, vehicles must be parked on the odd side of the street. At 6 p.m. each day, they must move to the opposite side of the street until the streets are cleared or the emergency is lifted.
BRUNSWICK -- The Town of Brunswick has declared a snow emergency starting at midnight on Tuesday until Thursday at noon. No parking is allowed on town streets.
CASTLETON -- The Village of Castleton-on-Hudson has issued a Snow Emergency from 6 a.m. on Wednesday until noon on Thursday.
COHOES -- The City of Cohoes has declared a Snow Emergency. From 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, no parking will be allowed on the even side of streets. On Friday, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., there will be no parking allowed on the odd side of the streets.
EAST GREENBUSH -- The Town of East Greenbush has declared a Snow Emergency beginning on Wednesday at 12 a.m. and ending on Thursday at 12 a.m. During that time, vehicles are prohibited from parking on any public streets.
GREEN ISLAND -- The Village of Green Island has declared a Snow Emergency. All vehicles must be removed from village streets by 7 a.m. on Thursday beginning in the area of Tibbits Avenue. LENOX, Mass. -- The Town of Lenox has declared a Snow Emergency beginning on Wednesday at 6 a.m. until Thursday at 3 p.m. Any vehicles parked on town streets will be towed at the owner's expense.
MECHANICVILLE -- The City of Mechanicville has declared a Snow Emergency starting on Wednesday at 8 a.m. Residents should have their vehicles parked on the even side of the streets for the first 24 hours, and move them to the odd sides of the street at 8 a.m. on Thursday.
MENANDS -- UPDATE: The Village of Menands Snow Emergency will end at 5 p.m. on Thursday. The village of Menands has declared a Snow Emergency. Beginning on Tuesday at midnight, and ending on Friday at noon, no parking is allowed on any village street. Parking is available at Ganser Smith Park and Menands Library.
RAVENA -- The Village of Ravena has issued a Snow Emergency. Vehicles may not park on any village street beginning at 8 p.m. on Tuesday until noon on Thursday.
RENSSELAER -- The City of Rensselaer has declared a Snow Emergency will be in effect beginning on Wednesday at 8 a.m. No parking will be allowed on the odd side of the streets for the first 24 hours. After that, there will be no parking on the even side of the streets.
TROY -- Crews will be plowing roads and treating hills all day and night on Wednesday. Drivers are asked to abide by posted street signage for street cleaning on both Thursday and Friday. All snowbound cars will be subject to ticketing and removal on Friday.
WATERFORD -- UPDATE: The Town of Waterford has lifted its Snow Emergency. The Town of Waterford has declared a Snow Emergency for all town roads. The Snow Emergency will be in effect from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 until further notice. Residents are asked to park in their driveways and to follow all posted alternate parking signs.
