Herkimer remembers shooting victims with moment of silence

HERKIMER -- Herkimer marked the 1 year anniversary of a deadly shooting spree with a moment of silence on Thursday morning.

The incident left five people dead, including the gunman, 64-year-old Kurt Myers from Mohawk. The spree started when Myers set fire to his apartment. he then drove to Johns Barbershop, where he killed two men and injured two others. He moved on to a garage in Herkimer where he killed two more men. A police K-9, Ape, was also killed in the crossfire.

Myers was eventually killed by Troopers.
